First Impressions (Helps Ministries)
The First Impressions Group receives and serves our CLC family and guests who come for Sunday morning services, Wednesday night services and Special Events here at the CLC campus. The First Impressions Group provides a remarkable experience through exceptional hospitality and service from the moment you turn into the parking lot and throughout your experience here at Christian Life Center. First Impressions includes the following teams of people:
First Touch: First Touch includes our Guest Services Staff, Ushers and Greeters, and the Connection Center Staff.
Ushers and Greeters will greet you at the entry doors, welcome you to our beautiful facility, and help you find you way around inside the building. They will direct you to the Sanctuary, assist you with seating in the Santuary, and serve you by attending to your individual needs.
Guest Services Staff is waiting in the lobby to welcome our Guests, get to know you and make you feel at home here during your visit with us. Guest Services Staff also prepares and presents gifts to our guest and hosts a Guest reception after each service.
Connection Center Staff is prepared to give you information on various events, activities, classes and other opportunities to get connected and grow in Christ at CLC. They will assist you with registrations, answer questions, and provide general information that you request.
First Steps: The First Steps Ministry helps carry out the mission of “Connecting People to God and People to People” by serving those who are ready to take their first steps toward a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and/or toward membership at CLC.
First Steps Team Members meet New Believers at the altar, minister to them there, and assist each new believer in understanding the new birth and how to grow in Christ. They also assist those desiring to become members at CLC with the first steps in the membership process and first steps toward connection here at CLC.
First Response: First Response includes our Safety and Security Group and our Medical Response Team
The Safety Team provides hospitality and assistance by directing Guests to our special Guest Parking section, helping people quickly find a suitable open parking space, welcoming you to our campus and answering your question. This team assures a safe environment in the CLC parking lot and on the campus.
Our Medical Response Team is on duty during all services and special events to provide medical assistance in a health-related emergency or specialized need.
Connection Partners
The purpose of the Connection Partners Ministry is to help people continue on the path toward being solidly connected at CLC. The Connection Partners Ministry includes a Connection Phone Team, a Data Entry Team, and our Connection Classes. This team works closely with our New Member families to assure a strong connection within the body.
The Connection Partners Phone Team is a group of people with a heart to communicate and connect indivually with our guests, new believers, and new members. They make follow up calls and send letters during the week to those people who came as guests, those who received Christ and those who joined CLC at our Sunday and Wednesday services. They follow up with new member families for 90 days to assure a strong connection.
The Connection Partners Data Entry Team uses their computer skills to record
information gathered at our Sunday and Wednesday Services.
The Connection Classes are designed to acquaint those new to Christian Life Center with our fundamental beliefs, our church vision, mission, values, and history and help you get connected to a small group and a serving opportunity at Christian Life Center.
Groups
Connection to a small, caring community is an essential part of our Christian experience. We were created for connection - to God and to other people.
Neighborhood Groups are the basic structure for connection and care of members and friends at Christian Life Center. These groups meet in the neighborhood where you live. Members along with their neighbors and friends have the opportunity to come together on a regular basis for Christian growth and discipleship. These groups also allow us to impact our own neighborhood Christ through friendship and service.
Neighborhood Gatherings are larger informal gatherings of members and friends covering a somewhat wider geographic area than a Neighborhood Group. These social gatherings are less frequent than Neighborhood Groups and provide a point of entry into the group system at CLC.
Ministry Groups are small groups of members who volunteer their time to serve together in a specific ministry in the church or community. These groups also provide connection and care for those members involved.
Interest Groups are groups of people who come together for a specific length of time to pursue a shared interest or activity such as Conversational Spanish, Women’s Interests or Athletic activities.
Volunteer Services
This ministry is designed to strengthen the member’s connection with Christan Life Center and the local community through becoming engaged by serving in a place of passion and gifting.
Volunteer Services provides volunteer related training, individual skills and gift assessment,
volunteer mentorship programs and unique serving opportunities.
